The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was approved by the 193 member states of the United Nations, in an effort to move towards a more inclusive, prosperous, fair and sustainable global society. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the 2030 Agenda mark the path that Barcelona can follow to continue building opportunities, social inclusion and well-being, without harming the environment or jeopardizing the standard of living of future generations. In this context, Barcelona is working towards achieving 139 of the 169 goals set by the United Nations. So, throughout this interview with Miquel Rodríguez, the commissioner for the 2030 Agenda of the Barcelona City Council, we will learn how Barcelona is working towards the completion of these goals and, specifically, what this plan consists of.
